Verdun

Dr. Rashid Abdur, PhD

Dr. Abdur Rashid, born in 1965, is a professional accountant, entrepreneur, and human rights advocate with extensive experience in finance, business management, and community development. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to professional excellence, leadership, and public service. Dr. Rashid is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Far West Accounting Inc., where he has built a respected practice providing comprehensive accounting, taxation, and financial management services. He is also the Founder and President of 786 Holding Inc., further reflecting his entrepreneurial leadership and business expertise. His educational background is both diverse and multidisciplinary. Dr. Rashid recently pursued a Doctorate in Social and Human Studies, majoring in Human Rights, at Atlantic International University. He also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA), majoring in Accountancy, from Atlantic International University. In addition, he completed studies in Professional Accounting and Business Management at the London School of Business Administration and obtained a College Degree in Information Technology Management from CDI College in Quebec. Committed to lifelong learning and professional development, Dr. Rashid has also completed a Mini MBA through the International Business Management Institute (IBMI) and holds the designation of Licensed Professional Chartered Manager with the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec (OAAQ). His additional professional credentials include designation as an Accredited Management Accountant (AMA) through the Global Academy of Finance and Management (GAFM), Associate Membership with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, as well as membership in the Association des MBA du Québec. Dr. Rashid has earned numerous certifications through the U.S. Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights, highlighting his commitment to international advocacy and human rights education. In 2025, he completed the requirements to become a Certified International Business and Protocol Consultant. He is also certified as a Disability Rights Advocate, Certified Diplomatic Protocol Consultant, Certified Human Rights Consultant, and Certified Business Consultant. In recognition of his contributions to the field, he was named “Best Human Rights Consultant” in 2024 by the U.S. Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Dr. Rashid has actively participated in international forums and advocacy initiatives. He attended the International Summit on Disability Rights 2022 in Istanbul, Türkiye, and the Rebuilding Ukraine Forum 2023 in Bucharest, Romania. He also participated in the 18th, 19th, and 20th International Human Rights Summits held in 2024, 2025, and 2026 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, underscoring his continued commitment to advancing disability rights, human rights advocacy, and international cooperation. Through his leadership in business, dedication to human rights, and ongoing community engagement, Dr. Rashid continues to make a positive impact in the fields of finance, social advocacy, and community development both locally and internationally.

Michelle Julien

With a career in financial services spanning more than three decades, Michelle Julien has been helping individuals and families achieve their financial goals since 1994. Known for her client‑focused approach, she brings extensive experience, professionalism, and a deep commitment to serving diverse communities across Quebec. Born in Toronto to Québécois parents and raised in a family of seven children, she developed a strong appreciation for both of Canada’s official languages and cultures from an early age. Fully bilingual in English and French, she has always viewed the ability to live and work in both languages as a valuable asset that helps build understanding, connection, and opportunity. In 2011, she relocated to Quebec’s Eastern Townships, where she continues to live and work. Her children, who were raised in Toronto, are also fluent in both French and English, reflecting her family’s longstanding commitment to bilingualism. She is married to a lawyer who grew up in the Eastern Townships and whose heritage reflects the rich cultural diversity of Quebec, with Irish and French‑Canadian roots. Throughout her career and community involvement, she has been a passionate advocate for issues that strengthen quality of life for Quebec families. She has a particular interest in women’s health, especially the unique healthcare challenges and opportunities that arise during the second half of life. She believes Quebec’s greatest strength lies in its people and their shared aspirations for affordability, economic stability, environmental stewardship, quality healthcare, and excellent educational opportunities. Her professional experience, combined with her deep ties to both English‑ and French‑speaking communities, has given her a unique perspective on the importance of collaboration, inclusion, and practical solutions that benefit all Quebecers. Michelle’s commitment to community life in the Eastern Townships has been a defining part of her personal and professional journey. For eight years, she served as president and secretary of Soccer Sutton, helping strengthen youth sports programming in the region. She also spent seven years on the board of directors of Parc Sutton (PENS), contributing to the protection and stewardship of one of the area’s most cherished natural environments. She played a role in the founding of d’Arts et de rêves Sutton and the École d’arts Sutton, two organizations that enrich the cultural and artistic life of the community. In 2022, she and her family hosted a Ukrainian family displaced by war and assisted other Ukrainian refugees in settling in the region. Her husband’s family, long rooted in Frelighsburg, was actively involved in the fight to protect Mount Pinacle from development and helped establish one of Quebec’s first land trusts—an example of the environmental leadership that continues to inspire her. Michelle’s son, Theo, has also contributed to community life as head counsellor at the local day camp for several years, working closely with local children and families. For more than 14 years, Michelle has provided financial advice to individuals and families—often at no cost—reflecting her belief that financial literacy and stability are essential pillars of community well‑being. Today, she continues to dedicate her time and expertise to helping others, guided by a commitment to service, integrity, and building a stronger future for the communities she serves.

Acadie

Roula Al-Nseir

Roula Al-Nseir is a bilingual senior executive professional with more than eight years of experience supporting leaders in corporate, legal, and operational environments. Known for her discipline, integrity, and strong organizational abilities, she has built a career centered on public service, administrative excellence, and meaningful community engagement. A long time resident of Acadie, Roula is closely connected to the neighbourhood’s families, community organizations, and social realities. Her commitment to inclusion and social responsibility is reflected in her role as Vice President of ALEDIA, an association dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. In this leadership position, she contributes to strategic planning, program development, and community outreach, helping strengthen support networks for vulnerable families and promoting dignity, accessibility, and inclusion. Professionally, Roula has held key roles in the Ministry of Justice, major property management firms, and corporate operations. She has developed expertise in coordination, stakeholder relations, and problem solving, managing complex files and supporting decision makers in high pressure environments. Her experience collaborating with judges, lawyers, tenants, clients, and service providers has shaped her commitment to transparency, responsible management, and clear communication. Roula’s academic background includes studies at Université de Montréal and Collège Lasalle, which complement her professional experience and reinforce her grounded, pragmatic approach to public issues. Her leadership style is guided by listening, collaboration, and a genuine desire to contribute to the vitality and well being of Acadie’s residents.

Marcela Martinez Angarita

Marcela Martínez is a community leader, entrepreneur, and legal professional who has built her life and career in Canada. A graduate of the Business Management and Entrepreneurship program at Algonquin College, she has extensive experience in business leadership, innovation, strategic growth, marketing, and partnership development. Throughout her professional and community work, Marcela has brought people together, developed practical solutions, and helped create opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds. She is currently President of the Colombian Community of Ottawa–Gatineau, where she promotes civic participation, supports the integration of newcomers, and strengthens connections between cultural communities and Canadian institutions. Having experienced the challenges and opportunities of building a new life in Canada, Marcela understands the importance of fair access to employment, education, public services, and economic opportunity. She is committed to an inclusive and prosperous Quebec where French is promoted positively, individual freedoms are respected, and every resident has the opportunity to contribute and succeed. Her contributions to community development and social causes have also been recognized by the Government of Colombia, which honoured her as an Outstanding Colombian in Canada.

Orford

Ngaire DeNora

"Ngaire DeNora is a dedicated community advocate, ATV safety activist, certified caregiver, and active volunteer based in Stanstead, Quebec, in the Eastern Townships. Self-employed as a certified caregiver, she has built her career around helping others and strengthening the well-being of her community. Ngaire pursued her education at both Champlain College and Bishop’s University, experiences that helped shape her commitment to public service and community engagement. In 2018, she established the Myles Memorial Welding Scholarship Fund at the Lennoxville Vocational Training Center in memory of her son, Myles, who was a welder. The scholarship continues to support aspiring welders and remains active today, reflecting her ongoing dedication to education and skilled trades. A passionate volunteer, Ngaire contributes her time to organizations such as Phelps Helps and Sunnyseed Gardens, demonstrating her commitment to supporting local residents and fostering a strong, connected community. Ngaire believes that Anglophones and other minority communities in Quebec deserve a strong and effective voice. This conviction led her to support the Canadian Party of Quebec and its mission to promote inclusion, representation, and equal opportunities for all Quebecers. Through her advocacy, volunteerism, and community leadership, Ngaire continues to work toward building a stronger, more inclusive future for her region and the province."

Nelligan

Michael K. Wilkinson

My journey began at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Pointe-Claire in 2001. Growing up as an only child encouraged me to build friendships and connect with people from all walks of life. It taught me to approach others with curiosity rather than judgment and to value perspectives different from my own. Over time, that curiosity expanded beyond personal relationships and became a desire to better understand how Quebecers and Canadians live, work, and build society together. A defining moment in my life came when I was 16 years old at Loyola High School. As part of a humanitarian trip, many of us in Secondary IV travelled to Consuelo in the Dominican Republic, where I lived with a local family for a week. Before arriving, I expected the challenges of poverty to dominate daily life. Instead, what stood out most was the strength of the community. Despite significant socioeconomic hardship, I found people who were welcoming, optimistic, and deeply connected to one another. I came to believe that this sense of community helped people face adversity with resilience and hope. Returning to Canada, I began to notice that although we enjoy tremendous prosperity, many people feel increasingly disconnected from one another. That realization inspired my interest in politics because I came to believe that the ultimate purpose of government is to unite people around our common goals and help solve the common challenges that affect us all. After graduating from John Abbott College, I enrolled at Bishop’s University, where I earned a degree in International Political Economy. My studies explored the relationship between economics, politics, and public policy, while courses in business, sociology, and history broadened my understanding of the many issues that shape our society. Rather than specializing in a single field, I wanted to become a well-rounded thinker who could understand problems from multiple perspectives and engage thoughtfully with people from different backgrounds. That foundation proved invaluable when I represented Bishop’s University at the National Model United Nations in New York City. Working alongside my partner, I negotiated with delegates from around the world, built consensus, and defended positions on complex international issues. At the conclusion of the conference, we were honoured to receive the Best Delegate award. The experience reinforced the importance of preparation, collaboration, respectful dialogue, and finding common ground, even among people with very different views. Today, at 25 years old, I am proud to stand as the Canadian Party of Quebec’s candidate in Nelligan. I believe politics should bring people together rather than divide them. We face real challenges, including the rising cost of living, access to healthcare, protecting our fundamental freedoms, and ensuring Quebec remains a place where families and businesses can thrive. These challenges deserve practical solutions that unite us instead of pitting us against one another. I believe our identity is defined not by our language, religion, or culture, but by our actions and our shared commitment to one another. My goal is to help build a Quebec that is more united, more prosperous, and more welcoming for everyone who calls it home.
