The Canadian Party of Quebec

The Canadian Party of Quebec is Quebec’s only fully federalist party.

Founded in June 2022, the Canadian Party of Quebec was created for Quebecers who are tired of separatism, nationalism, regionalism, and identity politics that have held back Quebec and Quebecers for years.

We are staunchly federalist. We believe Quebec’s future is within a united Canada, and we reject separatist and nationalist agendas that seek to weaken Canada and divide Quebecers.

While other parties present themselves as federalist, their embrace of nationalism, regionalism, and identity politics tells a different story. These faux federalists place separatist and nationalist agendas ahead of citizens’ rights, and a strong, united Canada.

The Canadian Party of Quebec remains resolutely federalist. We put Canada before politics, individual rights before identity politics, and unity before division.

We believe in Canada, bilingualism, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, official language equality, and equal citizenship for every Quebecer.

We believe that every citizen should be able to live, work, study, access government services, and feel at home in this province, no matter which official language they speak.

We defend the rights of all Quebecers. We believe French should be protected and promoted through culture, opportunity, and inclusion, not by diminishing the rights of others.

The Canadian Party of Quebec strongly opposes legislation that limits constitutional rights, weakens individual freedoms, or divides Quebecers by language, religion, origin, or identity. That includes Bill 21, Bill 96, and any law that uses the notwithstanding clause to override fundamental rights and freedoms.

Our message is simple: government should serve the people, not divide them. Its role is not to violate Charter rights, weaken constitutional protections, or pit Quebecers against one another. Its role is to uphold the Constitution, protect citizens’ rights, ensure equal opportunity, and treat every person with fairness and dignity.

That is what we mean by Democracy without division.

What we stand for

Our party is guided by six core principles.

01Rights Are Rights Are Rights

We believe that human rights, civil liberties, and official language equality must be defended without compromise.

The Canadian Party of Quebec opposes legislation that undermines constitutional protections, including laws that restrict religious freedom, language rights, educational rights, or equal access to public services.

We will defend the rights of all Quebecers, including English-speaking Quebecers, French-speaking Quebecers, Allophones, newcomers, religious minorities, and Indigenous peoples.

02Respect for the Canadian Constitution

The Canadian Constitution applies fully to Quebec, and we believe that all political parties should acknowledge that legal fact.

The Constitution Act, 1982, including the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, is part of Canada’s constitutional framework. No provincial government should be allowed to weaken national unity, undermine constitutional protections, or override individual rights without accountability.

We support Quebec’s place in a united Canada and reject any attempt to make separation easier or to weaken Canada’s territorial integrity.

03Bilingualism

We believe in real, practical, symmetrical bilingualism.

French and English are Canada’s official languages, and both official language communities deserve respect, protection, and access to services.

In Quebec, that means protecting the French language while also respecting the rights of English-speaking Quebecers and the official language choice of newcomers.

We reject coercive language laws. We support promotion, opportunity, education, and access.

04Educational Choice

We believe families should have real choice in education.

Parents and guardians should have the right, where numbers warrant, to choose the educational path that best serves their children, from daycare to CEGEP and university.

Access to English-language education should be expanded, not restricted, and no child should be treated as less deserving because of their mother tongue, province of origin, country of origin, or first official language spoken.

05Prosperity for All Quebecers

We believe Quebec’s prosperity depends on fairness, opportunity, and economic freedom.

Quebecers deserve a government that removes barriers to work, investment, entrepreneurship, labour mobility, and growth.

We support open markets, free enterprise, responsible public services, and policies that address affordability, income security, healthcare, and labour market fairness.

A stronger Quebec is possible when every Quebecer is allowed to contribute fully.

06Rapprochement and Reconciliation

We believe Quebec needs unity, goodwill, and cooperation. We reject politics that asks Quebecers to see one another as competing linguistic, religious, or cultural groups rather than as fellow citizens.

That means rebuilding trust between English-speaking and French-speaking Quebecers, welcoming newcomers, and strengthening reconciliation with Indigenous peoples, including First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities.

Quebec’s future should not be built on division. It should be built on fairness, dignity, respect, and shared citizenship.

Our Commitment

The Canadian Party of Quebec believes in a Quebec where rights are protected, both official languages are respected, Indigenous peoples are heard, newcomers are welcomed, and every citizen is treated equally before the law.

We stand for a Quebec that is free, bilingual, prosperous, democratic, and proudly Canadian.
