Decentralize and Localize Health Services

Local | Governance | Access

The CaPQ rejects centralized command-and-control systems. Local clinics and professionals must have a real voice in managing care.

We propose:

  • Rebuilding local clinic governance boards with patient and provider representation.

  • Funding more community-based care centers, especially outside major cities.

  • Supporting locally led multidisciplinary teams that address regional health needs.

  • Guaranteeing bilingual service availability, including access to interpreters.

What this means for you:

  • More care delivered closer to home — tailored to local needs.

  • Greater accountability and community input.

  • Services that reflect your reality — not government spreadsheets.
