Government Accountability & Spending Oversight
Transparency | Efficiency | Accountability
Eliminating wasteful spending and ensuring all public funds are effectively used.We will cut unnecessary spending, including subsidies for provincial professional sports events like the Big O and hockey games, redirecting those funds to services that matter most. A thorough review of all government ministries will assess their viability and return on investment. Independent audits of all provincial expenditures—including ministers’ expenses—will guarantee transparency. Citizens will have access to real-time spending data through a public dashboard.
We will also introduce strict accountability measures for politicians, ministers, and high-level civil servants. This includes a solid and enforceable expense policy to prevent excessive spending on meals, travel, or other luxuries at taxpayers’ expense. In cases of fraudulent activity, individuals may be required to personally reimburse the government. If they refuse or fail to do so, they may face criminal prosecution and potential jail time.
